Sleeping Through a Workout

Mental clarity is necessary for my furious brain activity. Are you the kind of person that is always “on”? Well, I thought I was the only overthinking, overwhelming personality in the room. Turns out my 3 year old, #sleepingbeauty has more energy than me. She’s the worst sleeper, so I put her straight to work. All that energy has to channel somewhere!

I wake up early to tackle the day. I haven’t always been that way. Postpartum depression set me back for a while. I found myself sleeping in and giving myself excuses to not take care of myself. #cruella would creep in my mind with shame, self doubt and guilt. What a distraction she can be! I found this little routine that transcended my energy, confidence, mental clarity and drive to get up and do this at home. It’s only 7 minutes of my time. I talked myself into 1 round the first several weeks, then I just kept doubling up the 7 minutes. Now, I workout 3 days a week for 1 hour. Energy driven and mind focused!

Camera angles play a huge role in a picture. The same outfit 7 months apart. It hasn’t been about losing a number on the scale, it’s been about well-being. The discipline of being my best self is rewarding. I‘m getting the best sleep if my life, minus the little #sleepingbeauty in my bed every night!
